Continue ReadingWalkertown HS 2020 Guard Jalen Cone finished with 40 points which put him over the 2,000 Point mark for his career. He has been scoring the ball at a high level since he stepped into Walkertown HS a few years back and he’s nowhere near done. Most importantly, his team got the win and they were able to advance into the next round of the playoffs.
Terry Sanford HS 2020 Guard Jay Hickman scored 21 Points to help his team get the win over CB Aycock. We have truly been impressed with the way Hickman has progressed over these last few months, his confidence is growing and his team has been getting some good wins.
Farmville Central 2020 PG Justin Wright dropped 25 points in their first round blowout win, the Jaguars are undefeated this year and are looking to do the same thing that the 2016 Farmville Central squad was able to accomplish. Wright has been picking up a good mixture of college interest from MM and HM programs.
South Robeson HS Unsigned Senior Big man Cameron Werrell put together another dominant performance with 36 Points and 12 rebounds in a loss to Riverside. He is a legit big man that can play inside of the paint but also step outside and knock down the tree point shot, JUCO programs should be all over him.
North Davidson HS Senior Guard Themus Fulks has been putting up major buckets this season and Tuesday night was no different as he finished with 48 points on the night. Fulks is a player that can score the ball in all types of ways and understands how to attack defenses, colleges that need a bucket getter at the PG spot should check him out.
Mount Tabor HS Senior Guard Quest Aldridge had a nice showing in their win as he scored 29 points and dished out 8 Assist. One of the things that I like about Aldridge is that he is a bigger guard, he’s about 6’4 which allows him to see over smaller guards as well as being able to take guards inside the paint when he has the advantage.
The West Brunswick HS Trojans came into their game with Hillside as a #32 seed but they almost pulled off the upset over #1 Hillside. One of the reasons was the play of 2021 Guard Makoa Suriago who dropped 17 points which included 4 three pointers, we like his upside and look forward to seeing his performances in the spring and summer.
Apex HS 2020 Forward Nick Farrar had a monster game in their win over Heritage HS, he scored 35 points to lead his team as well as pulling down a nice amount of boards. We have had the chance to see him play quite often over the last few month and he is a player that you will like once you watch him play.
Southwest Onslow HS season came to an end last night but it wasn’t due to a lack of effort from Senior Guard Dharyius Thomas who has been outstanding all season long. He scored 21 Points on the night and is a player that JUCO programs should be giving a call if they are looking for an athletic guard.
Kinston HS got the blowout win over Webb and a solid performance from their 2021 Standout Dontrez Styles who finished with 18 points. Styles is a HM prospect that is next in line to come out of Kinston HS, a program that has produced consistent NBA and College talent on a yearly basis.
