Central Ohio All-State Nominees:
Morgan Safford (6’4 / WG 2019 / Bishop Hartley): Morgan Safford is having about the best Senior season he could imagine for Bishop Harley. One of Central Ohio’s best available players still, has played above expectations this year. The tough guard is averaging close to 24 PPG, scoring in every way. Morgan hit the 1000 career points mark this year, as well as a career high 38 points. But, the advanced scoring Senior will no doubt find himself on an All-State team.
Otto Kuhns (6’3 / WG 2020 / Bloom-Carroll): One of Central Ohio’s best multi-sport athletes, is a flat out hooper on the hardwood. The junior Bulldog is responsible for 22.7 PPG, and also has been solid on the defensive end. A big time shooter, Kuhns also can score from other areas. Otto has scored 34 points or more on three occasions this year. Also, really proving that he can scorch a team on any given night. A top 10 scorer in Central Ohio regardless of division.
Photo Credit: Mitch BrownTronny Keaton (6’0 / G 2019 / Marion-Franklin): Tronny Keaton has been one of the best scorers in the City-League for back to back years now. The Red Devil is putting up 22.5 PPG, to lead the City League North. Keaton has been nothing but consistent, scoring under 16 points just once, and never under double-digits. A tough guard that doesn’t allow size to be a problem. Keaton should be recognized for his stellar player this winter come March.
Isaiah Alsip (6’0 / G 2020 / Galion): All-State in football this past fall, but Alsip will likely find himself the same in basketball. One of the best players in the MOAC, has lit it up all year. Averaging 20.1 PPG for the Tigers, Alsip has been quick to the basket all year. A 40 point explosion this year, the Junior can score from all level. One of the quickest players you will see, gets close to three steals a game as well, to lead the MOAC. The high scoring Alsip is a fun player to watch live. Also, as you never know when he’s going to go off for a big night.
