February has arrived and with a significant sample size in hand, some of the state’s best defenders have enough numbers to prove they are among the top steals men in Colorado. With the home stretch of the regular season on the horizon, let’s take a look at the sixth- through 10th-leading steals men in Colorado's Class 4A.

6. Antonio Rodriguez, 6-2, G/F, Pueblo Centennial, 2019, 3.2 spg

Rodriguez has been perhaps the most commonly appearing player on these top statistical lists. Not only is he coming up with 3.2 steals every time the Bulldogs play, he’s averaging 18.8 points and 8.7 rebounds. He’s also shooting 30 percent from 3-point range and has eight double-doubles. That’s some pretty serious all-around production.

7. Brady Renck, 5-11, PG, Longmont, 2019, 3.1 spg

He’s already committed to playing baseball at Westmont College but Renck helped guide the Trojans to the Class 4A state championship last winter. His dynamic production – 11.5 poing, 7.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 steals – is a major reason the Trojans (19-0) remain undefeated on their current title defense.

8. Mac Riniker, 6-5, G/F, Steamboat Springs, 2019, 3.1 spg

Already signed with Colorado Mesa, he’s lighting up the scoreboard and passed the 1,000-point career mark in the Sailors’ first game in the month of February. He’s also averaging 3.1 steals, 9.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

9. Jackson Hayslip, 6-0, G, Greeley Central, 2019, 3.0 spg

Another of the top scoring leaders in Class 4A, Hayslip is a hard-driving slasher with deceptive length and obvious quickness. Playing in the challenging Northern League, he’s getting it done at the defensive end with 3.0 steals per game, and uses his quickness off the floor to average 5.4 rebounds.

10. Cole Rademacher, 5-7, G, Erie, 2021, 3.0 spg

The only sophomore in 4A’s top 10 steals leaders, he got off to a hot start and averaged five steals a night through the Tigers’ first four games. He’s still averaging 3.0 steals per game to go with 4.7 points, 2.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds for the Tigers.
