Grant Cooney, 6’6, PF/C, 2020, Topeka @GCooney45 (pictured)
Cooney has committed to play football at Northwest Missouri State and brings a football mentality to the hardwood. He plays hard, works at both ends of the floor and brings toughness to the court as well. Cooney is a good shot blocker and post defender and has the ability to finish plays around the basket as well.
Alex Banks, 6’6, PF/C, 2019, Salina South @Kingbanks35
Banks is a 6’6, 280-pound post player who brings a physical presence to the floor and has the ability to carve out space in the paint and uses his body well to shield off defenders. He has good hands, a soft touch around the basket and gives the Cougars a big presence in the middle.
Trey Duffey, 6’5, PF/C, 2019, Seaman @trey_duffey
Duffey is an old-school post player with terrific footwork, a well-rounded skill set and the ability to score on the block or take his game to the perimeter. He is a good passer who is able to play in the high post and see over a defense, and can also step out and knock down 3-pointers. Duffey is a terrific free throw shooter and has the ability to get to the line with his work in the paint.
Caleb Glen, 6’6, C, 2019, Salina Central @CalebGlen2
Glen is a wide-bodied, old-school big man who likes to carve out space in the paint, get on the boards and play a physical brand of basketball. He is a tough rebounder who has put together several double-doubles this season and has a knack for finding open seams in a defense and making himself available for guards.
Hunter McDaniel, 6’7, PF, 2019, Topeka West @hunterjax07
One of the more underrated big men in Kansas’ 2019 class, McDaniel brings good size, length and athleticism to the court at 6’7, and has a skill set that allows him to spread the floor, knock down 3-pointers and has a smooth, repeatable shooting stroke from distance. He is averaging 8.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season.
