Here are some guards you should know who stood out at the KC Classic (in alphabetical order):
Dylan Everhart, 6-foot-4 forward, 2026, Mill Valley, PAC:
The long, lanky forward showed off a good handle and good ball skills on the move. Everhart moves with grace and can play with power. He attacks in high speed transition and was tricky leaking out for run outs. He was good at posting up smaller defenders, and contested shots at the defensive end.
Thatcher Ivey, 6-foot-2 forward, 2025, Mill Valley, MOKAN (pictured):
Everhart’s Mill Valley teammates was part of a MOKAN team that ran roughshod in Kansas City. He was one of the athletes who attacked the goal and overwhelmed defenses. He has good size and physicality and showed versatility inside and out.
Noah McFadden, 6-foot-3 forward, 2026, Manhattan, SSA:
McFadden played a hybrid guard/forward for SSA, showing a lot of versatility. He has quick hands and long, strong arms, making him a tough customer on the defensive end and a contributor on the glass. He’s a smooth slasher who can handle the ball from end-to-end. He also showed the ability to hit from deep. He looks ready to step into a significant role for Manhattan next fall.
Marcello Nash, 6-foot-2 forward, 2025, Shawnee Mission North, Kruse Elite Basketball Academy:
Nash stood out as a smooth, athletic wing who can impact the game in a lot of ways. He handles the ball really well, attacks off the bounce and gets to the rim. He was active in the open court, tipping passes and chasing down loose balls, grabbing big rebounds and pushing the ball in transition. He has a nice stroke, combined with the ability to attack and get to creative shots.
Tobin Snider, 6-foot-3 center, 2026, Derby, Kansas Select:
A big man who stood out, Snider demonstrated nice inside-outside versatility. He hit threes, and was also really strong taking the ball to the goal. He used his physicality to post up opponents and to grab a lot of rebounds. Snider’s passing ability stood out as well.
