Semi-Final #1: West Limestone 50 vs. Booker T. Washington 48
The West Limestone Wildcats defeated the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles in a thriller. For the Wildcats, Chayse Carter, did the things very few do and made big plays down the stretch. He took three charges in the game, including one with 2:00 to go. With 13 seconds to go, he stole the in-bounds pass and iced the game to advance to the title game. Booker T. Washington’s Martez Jones was a force to be reckoned with finishing with 18 points, 16 rebounds and four steals.
Semi-Final #2: Talladega 69 vs. Hillcrest-Evergreen 58
From the tip off, it was all Talladega Tiger as they defeated the Hillcrest-Evergreen Jaguars. The Jaguars would continually make runs and bring it closer, but to no avail. The Hillcrest coach said, “I credit Talladega for not getting rattled in that spot and making the right plays. We were trying to speed them up and they played well and sped up. They handled it”. For the Tigers, Arron Greene did a little of everything scoring 14 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and dishing 4 assists. D’Corian Wilson shot the ball extremely efficiently (8-17) and finished with 22 points. For Hillcrest-Evergreen, Jarret Taylor had 18 points, Adarius Oliver had 15 points and 9 rebounds.
