K.J. Pruitt • 6’3″ • SG • Lewisville (30 Spots Moved)
The reason why: Pruitt possesses all the tools to be an elite defender at the next level. He is blessed with long arms, a strong body, and nice athleticism. His spot in the next ranking will determined by how well he performs on the offensive end.
Shamir Bogues • 6’3″ • SG • Killeen Ellison (28 Spots Moved)
The reason why: Bogues has scored the ball efficiently throughout the season. He is a long and lanky guard that makes plays on both ends of the floor. Bogues also has been reliable from downtown when his feet are set. He is currently without any offers, but that could change if he continues to play the way he has throughout the spring and summer.
Bakari LaStrap • 6’0″ • PG • The Woodlands Christian (23 Spots Moved)
The reason why: If you are in search of a confident lead guard, LaStrap is your guy. He has been terrific this season, leading his team to another district title. His I.Q. on both ends of the floor and ability to be vocal on the court will be big for the Warriors as they look to go repeat as back-to-back state champions in TAPPS 4A.
Nate Lacewell • 6’7″ • PF • Legacy School of Sports Science (23 Spots Moved)
The reason why: Lacewell has a chance to make an even bigger jump because of his versatility at his size. The trim and lengthy forward is active on the glass, can handle it in the open floor, and can step out and score the ball from the perimeter. Throughout the season, multiple schools have visited Lacewell’s practices and have shown interest. It will be fascinating to see if his play this summer can transform his Division I interest into scholarship offers.
Andrew Laczkowski • 6’5″ • SF • St. Mark’s (17 Spots Moved)
The reason why: Laczkowski is an elite floor-spacer who is active on both ends of the court. His shooting has played a big part in St. Mark’s earning the top seed in the SPC North Zone Tournament bracket. Look for him to continue to light teams up from outside as the Lions try make their run at a SPC title.
