<p>The season is winding down and some of the state's best unsigned Seniors are starting to commit. Here's a look at some news and notes to start the week.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Pikeville Signs Two and Other Commitments</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>South Laurel's <strong>JJ Ramey</strong> committed and signed with Pikeville last week. Ramey is a super athletic wing with a chance to be a really good college player for Coach Kelly Wells. Ramey is averaging 18.5 points and 6 rebounds per game while shooting 45% from 3 for the season. </li>
<li>Joining Ramey in the Bears' signing class is <strong>Korbin Spencer</strong> of Elliott County. Spencer is one of the state's top scorers this season after returning from a year spent at Hargrave Military Academy. Korbin announced his commitment to UPike over the weekend and should sign in the near future.</li>
<li>Washington County Senior <strong>Cameron Willis</strong> committed to Tusculum University earlier this month.</li>
<li>Taylor County's Senior <strong>TreVon Smith</strong> committed to Tallahassee Community College earlier this month.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Several join the 1,000 Point Club</strong></span></p>
<p>Over the last month or so, many Kentuckians have reached the 1,000 career point mark. They are (in no particular order):</p>

<li>Henry Clay's <strong>Marques Warrick</strong></li>
<li>South Laurel's <strong>Matt Cromer</strong></li>
<li>Collins' <strong>Dayvion McKnight</strong></li>
<li>Cumberland County's <strong>Dawson Smith</strong></li>
<li>Burgin's <strong>Cameron Hurst</strong></li>
<li>Mercer County's <strong>Carter Baughman</strong></li>
<li>McCracken County's <strong>Jackson Sivills</strong></li>
<li>Madisonville-North Hopkins' <strong>Ksuan Casey</strong></li>
<li>Simon Kenton's <strong>Kelly Niece</strong></li>
<li>Waggener's <strong>JJ Kalakon</strong></li>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>1,500 Career Points</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Mayfield's <strong>Carson Guthrie </strong>now has over 1,500 points and 850 rebounds for his career.</li>
<li>Carson's twin brother <strong>Connor Guthrie</strong> is up over 1,500 points and 500 career rebounds.</li>
<li>Breckinridge County's <strong>Kobe Poole</strong> hit the 1,500 point mark on January 8th</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2,000 Career Points</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Scott County's <strong>Diablo Stewart</strong> scored his 2,000th career point last week. Diablo started his career at Franklin County before making the move to the Cards last season.</li>
<li>New Pikeville Bear <strong>Korbin Spencer</strong> hit the 2,000 point mark early this month. </li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>3,000 Career Points</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>UHA's KyKy Tandy recently went over 3,000 for his career.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>1,000 Career Wins</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Scott County's <strong>Billy Hicks</strong> won his 1,000th game last week. He becomes the first ever coach in Kentucky to reach the 1,000 win mark.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>All A Champions Crowned</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Tandy was also named the MVP of Kentucky's All A State Tournament this weekend after leading his team to a championship over Lexington Christian. Congrats to the Blazers for winning the All A!</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>McDonald's All-American Nominees</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>It's old news at this point but the following Kentucky Seniors were nominated for the McDonald's All-American Game: Trinity's <strong>David Johnson, </strong>UHA's <strong>KyKy Tandy, </strong>Johnson Central's <strong>Jacob Rice</strong> and Pendleton County's <strong>Dontaie Allen.</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>College Visits:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Ballard Senior and reigning Player of the Week <strong>Walter Johnson Jr. </strong>took a visit to Vincennes (Juco) over the weekend. He will visit Kentucky Christian next weekend.</li>
<li>John Hardin's <strong>Alex Matthews and Preston Murrell</strong> along with Elizabethtown's <strong>JaQuais Franklin </strong>all visited Lipscomb last week. </li>
<li>Ryle's <strong>Zach Benton</strong> has taken visits to Dayton and Wright State in the last few weeks.</li>
