Top Available Shooting Guards Texas
PrepHoops Take: Texas has a lot of talented 2019 shooting guards who are still uncommitted. Our staff has provided an in depth player breakdown to let the college coaches know who are the best players available for the shooting guard position.
Deaunte Lee / 6’2 / SG / Kimball / 2019
Deaunte is one of the hardest people to guard because he moves well without the ball. He runs off screens and fills areas where his teammates will find him and it doesn’t take him long to get his shot off. Lee will knock down multiple threes if he catches it in rhythm.
Quinton Ford / 6’3 / SG / Copperas Cove / 2019
Ford is an athletic 2 guard that knocks down open jumpers and is a tough slasher. He is one of the most explosive players in his class, coaches should check this kid out, Ford has the athletic gifts that you just can’t teach.
Tristen Newton / 6’4 / SG / Burgess / 2019
Newton has great size for position a long armed smooth shooting guard that plays at his on pace. Tristen can really shoot it and he is also a decent defender that uses his length well on the defensive end to frustrate opponents. Lm+ to Mid- prospect.
Anderson Kopp / 6’6” / SG / St Thomas
Kopp is a fiery player, that plays the game with passion and constantly talking when he’s on the floor. He is entertaining to watch and when he knocks down threes he’ll let his opponents and the crowd know that he did. Kopp has a good frame to go with his height and also has decent athleticism. D1 Lm-Mid Prospect.
