Carr Is Leading Trask to an Outstanding Season!
In this day and age with the high amount of social media, mixtapes, and other forms of technology, its rare to see a youngster with an old school type of demeanor. We see a high amount of youngsters constantly talking about how they are slept on, where they should be ranked, and talking trash on almost a regular basis. This is far from the case with Trask HS Sophomore Guard Jajuan Carr who has quietly been doing his thing at a high level all season long after a very impressive summer season with WBC Elite . He has a game that speaks volumes even though you probably wont hear him speak too many words when you’re around him, this attitude and demeanor truly will help him on the next level as he presents himself as a very respectful young man.
What makes him special?
He has a gift for scoring the ball with ease, he can knock down the mid-range shot but gets into the paint almost at will and doesn’t turn it over often. Lets take a look at some of his numbers from this season: 28 points vs Pender, 25 points & 7 rebounds vs Southwest Onslow, 16 points & 6 Rebounds vs East Carteret, 22 Points & 11 Rebounds vs Richlands, and 23 points & 7 rebounds vs Cape Fear Academy. Clearly you can see that not only can he score the ball but for a guard that is under 6 feet tall , he is an outstanding rebounder. Carr has taken a team that many thought would struggle, to a record of 15-2 with only 1 loss in conference play.
Recruitment wise we definitely see him as a Division 1 prospect, its only a matter of time before colleges at that level realize it as well and his recruitment begins to heat up. Last but not least is the fact that he is one of the most unselfish players that you will meet, even though he can score the ball well, he is constantly looking to get others involved.
