Recruiting Rising: El Ellis
2019 Elbert Ellis, a 5’10 PG at Mt. Zion/Team Felton is a crafty, really good scorer and is able to get his shot off from anywhere on the floor. Has a knack for getting into the lane and can finish with either hand. His recruitment is starting to heat up and more schools should be on the lookout for a scoring point guard in the 2019 class.
“My recruitment is going well I have offers from Eastern Kentucky, Kennesaw State, and Charleston Southern. I have NC Central, Campbell, UCF, UAB, Kansas State, Temple, Illinois, Stony Brook, UNCG, College of Charleston reaching out.” Ellis said about his recruitment.
What schools does he wish would start to show interest, “I just hope to hear from schools that actually like my game and will give me an opportunity to play right away!”
Ellis scored 37 points in The Bull City Showdown against West Oaks (FL) in the championship game and also fished out 5 assists. “My goals for the remainder of my junior year would be continuing to be a leader for my team and win a state championship!”
The future is bright for Ellis, he will be playing basketball in college at a high level, it’s just yet to be determined what level he will fill in at. Another strong summer with Team Felton and I could his recruitment shifting more to a mid-major level once the transfers start picking up in April & May.
