Things We Learned from the Flight 22 Jamboree : Part 1
- Village Christian can 3 Peat if they are healthy: The Knights have won the last two NCISAA Championships and will look to add a third this season and they have all the pieces to do it. With 2019 Guard Travion McRae and Senior Guard Junub Char in the starting lineup, they bring as just as much firepower from the backcourt as they had last year if not more. At the wing spot they have 6’6 2019 Khauth Gatkuoth who can score the ball at a high level, rounding out the starting 5 is 2019 6’10 Center FiiFi Quansah who has improved greatly and is a D1 prospect as well.
- Faith Assembly Guard Season Sims is forreal! He already has nice height for a guard and he has quite a few years left to fill out his body. He can score it well and also has the ability to facilitate to teammates.
- UNCP got a good one in Silas Love: The recruitment of Silas Love was interesting to say the least, he had a solid summer and picked up a few offer while playing with Raid Nation. Although he held a D1 offer, he verballed to UNCP which allows him to be close to home as well as being apart of a top D2 program.
- Fairmont HS plays defense, as usual : Fairmont HS has always been known for their defense, they usually don’t have a ton of size but always bring toughness and this year will be no different. They constantly pressure the ball attempting to force turnovers and have some guards with quick hands and nice lateral quickness.
- NLCA Wing Arshon King will has a chance to have a breakout season when he returns, Arshon recently suffered an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks but once he returns he can have a special season if he’s at 100%. He showed the ability to play on both ends of the floor at a high level and has nice athletic ability.
