Recruiting Report: Justin Moore (2019)
It’s been a long road to recovery for Justin Moore, a class of 2019 guard at DeMatha Catholic High School, who is now fully healed from a knee injury which cost him his sophomore season. The junior combo guard, who looked very good in a recent scrimmage vs. Mount St. Joseph, is set embrace a major role for the Stags this year.
“I learned to trust in God cause he has a plan for me,” said Moore about what he learned during his rehab process. “I also learned never stop working, and never take the game for granted.”
Moore is a big, strong guard who can do a bit of everything. He demonstrates a high basketball IQ, and plays hard at all times. Moore knows how to get the best out of all his teammates while playing with them, whether leading, or them telling them what to do.
“I need to work on getting more explosive off injury,” Moore explained. “I’m also working on speed and agility.”
Moore, who boasts a 3.2 GPA at DeMatha, is one of the most highly recruited class of 2019 guards in the country. Xavier, Maryland, Villanova, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Penn State, Virginia, Southern Cal, and Ohio State are all recruiting him. What can he bring to a college program?
“I am a winner, and competitor. I can bring that to college program on top of my skills and hard work.”
The Stags have had a promising preseason, and appear set for a fantastic campaign with Moore playing an integral role.
