New Life Vs. Fayetteville Christian: 10 Best
Fayetteville Christian & New Life Christian met up in the first round of the Bulldog-Monarch Classic on Thursday night. Both teams were playing in their first game so of course the emotions and excitement factored in to play, FCS went on a run to begin the game and the team would battle back and forth up until the end of the game in which New Life would hold on to the lead and win with a score of 69-65 below are the ‘‘10 Best’’ players who stood out in this game.
FCS 2019 Guard Avery Daniels: The young man is a hooper!! He picked up some early fouls which caused him to miss some valuable minutes on the floor but took over the game in the 4th to lead his squad to a comeback. He shifty and strong with a smooth shooting stroke from deep, just a difficult player to matchup with overall.
FCS 2019 Guard Khymani Vera: Khymani is a strong guard that brings it on both ends of the floor, he plays football so he has the toughness that you love to see from a guard.
FCS 2019 Guard Charles Page: Charles shot the ball well from deep, he has a slender frame but uses his length to get his shot off without much effort, finished with 19 Points.
FCS 2019 Guard Bennet Newman: He didn’t have a huge game scoring the ball but he was a huge part of why FCS got off to a good run. He’s a knock down shooter, and moves very well without the ball, one to keep a close eye on.
NLCA 2020 Wing Reggie Raynor: Led the team in scoring with 14 points, was active on the glass with 10 rebounds to go along with 4 blocked shots. Was solid finishing inside and running the floor, can be dangerous when he doesn’t rush his game but instead allows things to come to him.
NLCA 2018 Wing Arshon King: KK didn’t have his best game but still found ways to impact the game, he finished with 12 Points on the night , came up big in the 4th quarter by slashing to the basket and finishing through contact.
NLCA 2019 Forward Latrell Jones: Solid performance overall from Latrell, he played strong inside, fought for rebounds at a high rate and defended multiple positions. Finished with 12 Points on the night, has a chance to have a very good season this year.
NLCA 2020 Guard Reggie Walton: The Floor general for New Life didn’t necessarily have his best showing but he was solid overall, finished with 12 Points and ran the show for his squad. He’s a quick guard that doesn’t allow himself to be sped up.
NLCA 2021 Guard Pharell Davis: One of the youngest players on the court but he came in and provided some nice minutes for New Life. He defended his position well and helped get his team out into transition, keep a close eye on the youngster.
NLCA 2018 Wing Devontae Gathers: Juco programs should keep a close eye on this young man, he plays hard, is very athletic, can defend and is still raw. His impact on the game was clear as he came off the bench and provided a much needed spark.
