Meet The Players: Mt.Zion Warriors
You guys just got a good win in the Championship game of the tournament, how was the experience? And what is something you learned from this tournament that you can take with you through the rest of the season?
Kevin O’Banor: I learned that we just have to keep working hard, and that you have to keep your head in the game. Don’t let little things phase you or take you out of your game.
El Ellis: I learned that we just need to stay together as a team and just play together at all times.
Maren: I learned that we just have to play better together and space the floor better.
If there was a college or NBA player that you feel like you play like, who would it be?
Kevin O’Banor: Draymond Green, he’s versatile and I feel like I’m versatile as well, we both rebound, push the ball and all those things.
El Ellis: I would say Westbrook and Kyrie, the way I can finish and how athletic I am on the court.
Maren: I would say a small Kevin Durant, because of how much ability I bring and the ability I have to shoot the ball well.
What’s your college recruitment been like so far?
Kevin O’Banor: Wake Forest, TCU, Nevada , Murray State, Missouri State , UMass , I’m looking to go somewhere I can play my freshman year and make an impact so I can show that I can do something as a freshman.
El Ellis: I have offers from Kennesaw State & Eastern Kentucky and I have interest from Illinois, UNCG, Charleston Southern and some others, I’m looking for a situation where I can go in and play right away.
Maren: So far New Orleans and Longwood and I’m looking for a place where I can come in and play as well.
