Meet The Players: Kelton Battle & Aaron Sinclair
Q: You guys got a good win over a solid Fayetteville Christian School squad, what are some things that you could learn from today’s game?
Kelton: Once we look at the film I think we can learn a lot, film does a lot, showing you your mistakes so you can try to do better.
Aaron: Just working on team defense, defense wins basketball games so we just have to work harder on that. Also working on team defense, we just have to come back on Monday night and play hard because we play a great team in Village Christian.
Q: You guys see to have a nice backcourt tandem with scoring and assist, is that something you guys built over time? Or did it come along naturally?
Kelton: It came naturally, this is his first year here and I’ve been here for a while so we just kindve played with each other and it went on from there.
Aaron: Yea this is my first year, so I just came in filled my role and just do what I do.
Q: You guys have different roles, so explain what your mindset is when you come into a game.
Kelton: I just try to come in and kill, just try to do my best to get the job done.
Aaron: Just play free, just come in and not think too much, just let it flow.
Q: If there was a backcourt duo in the NBA or college that you guys would say you guys play like.
Kelton: Mine for college would be Trevon Duval & Marvin Bagley
Aaron: I like Malik Monk, I think my game kind’ve models after him so yea I would say that.
Q: Do you feel like Berean Baptist Academy Basketball in on the way back up to how it was years ago?
Kelton: Yea, Berean is on the come up for sure, we are just getting started though.
Aaron: Of course we just have to come in as a team and get it done every night.
Q: What’s some things you guys feel you will need to do as a team against a very talented Village squad.
Kelton: Just being patient, they like to get you off the tempo that you’re comfortable with.
Aaron: We have to come in and play hard on defense, we can give up on the defensive end because defense wins games.
