Hoops & Dreams Showcase Recap: 2019’s Part 2
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard Josh Nickelberry: On day one Josh had somewhat of an off night, he got some good looks that didn’t drop and the overall aspect of it being the first game back in his hometown. On Saturday he bounced back with a much better performance going for 25 Points vs Huntington Prep, look for Josh to have a bigtime season for the Eagles as he becomes more comfortable with the new squad.
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard John Michael Wright: In their matchup vs Oak Hill, John played well to start the game, providing some much needed offense for the squad. He is what we call a ‘‘gamer’’ when the lights come on, he is always ready to compete, he has a nice pull up jumper is athletic and is a solid defender, definitely a D1 guard.
Northwood Temple 2019 Forward Brandon Franklin: Brandon has the height and length that will attract your attention but will need to continue to build his body physically. Once he adds some more muscle I believe he will be more aggressive and confident on the floor.
Word of God Christian 2019 Wing Max Farthing: Max didn’t have his best showing on Friday night but responded with a big time game on Saturday when the Holy Rams matched up with Oak Hill. He finished with 32 Points, knocking down 10 treys, he’s 6’6 with a very nice overall skillset, and will be a very nice pickup for a college program.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 F/C Emmanuel Izunabor: He had a very impressive performance against Neuse Christian, he scored and rebounded at a very nice rate. At 6’9 with a soft touch, he is a player that D1 programs should definitely keep a close eye on.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 F William Onyeodi: William has a physique that already makes it look like he can step on to a college campus, he is improving skillset wise and becoming more comfortable on the wing. He had a solid performance overall scoring and rebounding the ball, should pick up more college interest.
