Hoops & Dream Showcase Recap: FTCC Trojans
FTCC Frosh Guard Josh Haymer: Josh is a true PG that has a gift for passing the ball and a very high IQ for the game. On the defensive end he makes things very difficult for opposing guards and does all the things that you want a PG to do.
FTCC Frosh Guard Josh Richmond: Josh was a big time scorer at Overhills HS and will look to bring that same scoring talent to FTCC this season. He is a knock down shooter from deep, and doesn’t try to do too much but instead plays within himself.
FTCC Frosh Forward D.J McDonald: D.J has a very high motor and it showed in their matchup with Mt. Zion, he was very active on the glass, brought energy and intensity and was a player that the team could count on throughout the night.
FTCC Frosh Guard Jahari Guthrie: Jahari will be a player that could be a nice addition for FTCC, he attended the East NC Fab 40 Camp and didn’t have much college interest so it was a pleasing site to see Jahari on the floor on Saturday. He skilled and will need to polish up on a few things but he could develop into a very nice player over time.
FTCC Guard Nick Kuhns: He knows how to win, which showed during his time at Garner HS where they went deep into the state playoffs every year. He will bring that winning mentality over to FTCC and brings a confidence on the court that is infectious.
FTCC Forward Cedric Miller Jr: With a height of 6’6 and the combination of athleticism and energy, he was a huge impact player for FTCC off the bench. He rebounded at a high level and did a good job of finishing.
FTCC Combo Guard Jonathan Adams: He’s 6’3 with a gift for scoring the ball and making difficult shots look easy, he has a nice wingspan and used his skillset on both ends of the floor. Had one of the better scoring performance throughout the day.
