My Predictions: NCISAA All Classifications
NCISAA
1-A-This classification is loaded with talent. Greenfield School has UNC commit Coby White and Georgia Southern commit Elijah McCadden. Trinity Christian has three headed monster in 2019’s Au’Diese Toney, Greg Gantt and Joey Baker (Duke commit). Northwood Temple has NC State commits Immanuel Bates and Ian Steere along with top 50 2019 Josh Nickelberry. White has a chance to set the record for most points score in a career passing JameSon Curry. I have to give the nod to Trinity Christian for the state title this time around. Head Coach Heath Vandevender just gets it done year and year out. His guys have all been there before, winning it all as freshman and coming in second last season as sophomores.
2-A–Gaston Day School is loaded this season. Houston commit Nate Hinton is the thoroughbred, College of Charleston commit Quan McCluney is another big-time player and MJ Armstrong may be one of the best shooters in the state. Asheville Christian Academy with Caleb Mills, Raishaun Brown and big man Elochukwu Eze could make a run along with Carmel Christian.
3-A-The best classification in the best state division in the southeast, the 3-A NCISAA is home to some of the best basketball teams around. This year, I am taking Christ School with their plethora of transfers and a name that is going to blow up the recruiting world, Justice Ajogbor. Brandon Stone recently transferred in along with 2019 guard Jalen Lecque, one of the premier athletes in the country. Don’t count out John Newman, Will Dillard, and Carson McCorkle at Greensboro Day, Weslesyan Christian with Kobe and Keyshaun Langley (Virginia Tech commits, Jaylen Hoard (Wake Forest commit and Aaron Wiggins (Maryland commit). Also 2016 3-A champ Providence Day returns Santa Clara commit Trey Wertz and Kansas commit Devon Dotson.
