Overhills Open Gym Recap Part 2
2019 Guard Zavian Mclean: Was easily the best player in the gym, he showed his athletic ability the entire workout, throwing down monster dunks. Also showed his ability to play lock down defense during the defensive drills session, he’s a nice well rounded prospect and should see his recruitment stock rise very soon. He can shoot the ball well from mid and deep and has good ball handling skills to go along with his speed, Fayetteville State is showing strong interest at this point and they dropped in on Thursday to see him play.
2021 Zyqimus Mclean: The younger brother of Zavian, you can see the potential in his game. Although he is a smaller guard, he has a very impressive IQ for the game and brings it on both ends of the floor, He can pass the ball well and did a solid job of finishing over opponents.
2018 Guard Latrell Lloyd: (Did not play due to football) There aren’t many seniors on this team so Latrell will have to step in and take over the senior leadership role as soon as he is allowed to play basketball. As you probably already know by now, he is a great athlete and brings a high amount of effort on the court.
2021 Guard Cinque Lemon: The potential that this young man has to be good is scary! He is already at about 6’3 and has a very nice skillset, he knocked down shots throughout the workout from midrange and deep with consistency. He also is a solid ball handler, legit athlete and a coachable player who you don’t have to tell how to do things more than once. He’s going to be a player that has some good games this year and if he truly works hard, he has a chance to be a special player.
