The Latest News: Week 1 of October
The first week of October has been interesting to say the least, more offers have been picked up as well players gaining interest and even some committing to colleges.
Detroit Spartans Guard Anthony Roberts: Anthony was a players that really left an impression on me after I saw him play at the PowerAde Circuit Finale in July. He was hands down one of the best players in attendance and I was shocked that he didn’t have any offers at the point. Before much later he would pick up an offer from Youngstown State and Bryant University, A short while after visiting Bryant he committed and is a great pickup for their program.
Trinity Christian Wing Joey Baker: By now you have the heard news that Baker picked up an offer on his unofficial to Duke recently. Do the Blue Devils have a realistic change at getting Baker? I believe they have a good chance, with Kansas and UCLA both being out west, Duke is one of the top programs that have offered Baker on the East Coast.
Northwood Temple Forward Ian Steere: Ian decided to decommit for Creighton and join forces with teammate Manny Bates and head to NC State for college. Ian is a strong player who is still developing but has a chance to be a very good player and prospect, he spent the last few years at Wesleyan Christian but decided to return home recently to Northwood.
Senior Guard Ronaldo Segu: Segu is a player that has been a Youtube sensation and has the game to back up the following of fans he has. He is a shifty guard that can get to the paint nicely and has tremendous court vision and passing ability. You would almost have to view him as an old school type of Point Guard as he looks to get everybody involved before trying to get his own offense going.
