Flight 22 Jamboree Final Recap
Hoke County HS
The Bucs lose one of their top scorer in Dcoda Cummings to graduation but they pick up transfer 2018 PG Dakari Johnson is a very special player in his own right who currently has multiple D1 offers. The Love brothers at the forward spot will help the Bucks control the paint and rebound at a high rate, Silas Love in particular is a player that D2’s have fell in ‘‘ Love’’ with, no pun intended. Johnson won’t be alone at the guard spot at all, Senior Guard Jaleel Ray has a gift for scoring the ball and has received D2 interest of his own, while Hoke County’s youngest player Jaquante Harris should have a very special season as he has all the tools to be a D1 caliber guard.
Freedom Christian
With the event being held at Freedom Christian, they technically will be the home team throughout and will look to defend home court. The backcourt combination of 2019 Guards Brandon Murray and Jamahri Harvey should produce quite a few points for the Patriots from the perimeter. On the inside they will look to big man Milos Stajcic to produce at a high rate, D1 programs clearly are intrigued about him and his talent level doesn’t make you question why.
Mount Zion
This team doesn’t need much introduction as far as what the program has been known for over the years, between the high school and the prep school teams they have had quite a bit of success over the years. They return Senior Forward Augustine Ominu from last years team, the 6’7 youngster will be looked to , to lead the squad as the team lost fellow big man Rory Panthophlet to graduation , surely there will be quite a few more talented players that Mount Zion has added to their roster that we will see at the jamboree.
