Coastal Christian HS Season Preview
Costal Christian finished last season with a record of 14-14 and they return a nice amount of players that know how their system is ran so they should be in pretty nice shape with returners for this season. They will continue their play in the Coastal Rivers Conference which features teams such as: Harrels Christian, Fayetteville Academy and Parrot Academy.
Senior Forward Michael Parker: If the team wants to win the conference and go deep into the playoffs, they will need very good play from Michael. He missed a bit of time during the summer as he suffered a foot injury but now he’s back at full strength. He can play inside the paint and be productive with his 6’6 height and a very solid frame but is also a skilled player that can step out and score on the perimeter. He has picked up interest from college at the D2 and D3 levels and would be a nice pickup for a program that likes skilled stretch forwards.
2020 Forward Chazz Banks: Provides an inside presence for their squad, he rebounds the ball at a very high level, he embraces contact well and is what we would define as a bruiser. Not only does he do his damage inside the paint but he also plays well when he’s on the perimeter, already 6’4/6’5.
2018 Guard Caleb Vernon: A youngster that passed the eye test when we first saw him, although he still has some areas of his game that he will need to tighten up, he showed some flashes of how good he can be. He knocks down the trey ball well and is very unselfish.
2019 Kamron Greene: A quick and crafty guard that does a bit of everything for his squad. He can score the ball from outside and inside, and truly excels when playing the game at a high tempo
