Top Dynamic Duo’s In The State
Today we take a look at some of the dynamic duos across the state that we expect to do some major damage throughout the season. Of course we all know that it takes more than two or three players to win games so we are not overlooking the teams as a whole but they young men listed below definitely are players that college coaches and fans should keep an eye on.
Hoke County HS 2018 PG Dakari Johnson & Forward Silas Love: Love & Johnson have known each other for many years but now they finally get the chance to play high school basketball together. Love is a high flyer that can finish above the rim, block shots and rebound, while Johnson is the PG that Love needs. Johnson has the ability to score at a high level but is a very willing and gifted passer, expect big things from these two as they try to take Hoke County on a run at a State title.
Trinity Christian School 2019 Wing Joey Baker & Greg Gantt: These two have been playing varsity basketball together for a few years now but this year is the season that Trinity Christian will truly need them to carry the load. Baker is more of the well-known prospect to fans around the country but Gantt is a player that should not be looked over. He’s ranked in the Top 5 for a good reason and is one of the most versatile players in the state. If these two players can bring it on a nightly basis then Trinity will have the opportunity to be NCISAA 1A State champs again.
New Life Christian 2019 PG Reggie Walton & 2020 Wing Reggie Raynor: This is the duo that you probably have heard the least about but you should have. Walton is currently ranked #47 in 2019 and Raynor is ranked #30 in 2020, Walton is a quick guard who plays the game with a ton of heart and confidence. Raynor is an athletic player who is transitioning from playing the forward spot to being more of a wing, he has a long wingspan and is getting better every time we see him.
