Christ School Team Preview-
New Comers:
6’4″ Jalen Lecque (2019) – Ranked 22nd in ESPN60 (91-Scout Grade) – OSU, Syracuse, Xavier, USC, Miami, UCONN, Providence, NM, Illinois, Auburn, Minnesota, TTU, UH, Georgia, Wake Forest, KSU, RI, Iona, Senton Hall, VCU, CSU, TCU, Florida
Video Highlights
The explosive 6’3″ guard has emerged as one of the top point guards in the class of 2019. Excellent athleticism, size, improved skill and understanding has allowed Lecque to become one of the most prized point guards in his class.
6’11” Brandon Stone (2019) – 10 offers – Penn State, Bowling Green, St. Joes, Canisius, CCS, App State, Mt. St. Marys, Duquesne, Youngstown St, Stony Brook-Stone showed the ability
to be used some as a point-forward with his ability to handle the ball and his ability to run the floor. He gets a lot of rebounds
with his size and footwork. He gets good position on the low blocks, able to finish with either hand off of either foot. He is getting stronger and will build muscle on his upper-body. He is an above-average passer for his size and gets a lot of deflections on in-bounds plays and gets his long arms in on passing lanes.
6’4″ Norance Berry (2020) – Offers from ETSU & James Madison
Interest from Stanford, Vanderbilt-Berry was very impressive at Christ School open gym. He is a defensive stopper and will out hustle any player on the floor. He is able to read ball screens and can knock down the open jumper out past the three-point line. He has a tight handle and can score off the dribble. He is strong and has an athletic build.
6’0” – Ben Craig 2019 -The Owen transfer is a legitimate Division Two/Big South/SoCon Conference at D1 level guard. He is skilled, tough, strong, and knows the game. He doesn’t make mistakes with the ball in his hands and is a defensive hound.
RETURNERS-
6’0 Brad Halvorsen 2019-With the last name Halvorsen it is in your blood to be a shooter. The younger Halvorsen is what his older brothers could do, shoot. Middle brother Matt is a freshman at Western Carolina University and Brad has the same stroke. He can light it up when open or contested.
6’10’ Justice Ajogbor (2020)
Video Highlights (against La Lumiere, Oak Hill, Hamilton Heights)
High Major Player, 7’3″ wingspan-
-Ajogbor is now up to 235lbs and has a 7-foot-2 wingspan. He impressed me today with his shotmaking ability from outside of the three-point line while making five in a row from deep. He showed a soft touch on the inside and scored with either hand over either shoulder. He has the size to push people around in the post at this level. He is a fierce competitor, goes after every rebound, and tries to dunk anything in the post. He is a 4.3 student in the classroom and is going to be one to track over the next 6 months.
