The recruiting visits are in full swing and college coaches are now allowed to come and watch open gyms/workouts.
With the 2018 class being as strong as it has been in recent years, college coaches have been flocking to high school campuses across the state to get a better look at some of the talent that North Carolina has this season. Here is a look at some of the schools that have been in this week and some that are scheduled for the rest of the week.
Jalen LecqueMaryland Head Coach Mark Turgeon and two assistants on campus yesterday for 2019 Jalen Lecque of Christ School. Texas is scheduled to bring an assistant coach on Tuesday to take a look. The LongHorns recently offered a scholarship.
Longwood Head Coach Jason Gee & Boston University Assistant Walt Corbean in to see Josiah Jeffers of The Burlington School this morning. Jeffers has scheduled official visits with Longwood 9/14-15 and Radford 9/28-29.
ECU, ETSU, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Wilmington and Georgia Southern in this morning at Greensboro Day for workouts.
ECU will be in this morning to watch 2019 guard Raquan Brown of Butler HS.
New Mexico’s Paul Weir and VCU’s Mike Rhoades were at Hargrave (VA) this weekend for workouts. 14 schools total in attendance. 22 coaches.
Longwood University will be on Monday to see 2019 guards Talton Jones and KJ Marshall of Trinity Christian.
NC State will be in Tuesday to see 2019’s Joey Baker, Greg Gantt and Au’Diese Toney of Trinity Christian.
Phil Martelli, head coach at St. Joe’s will be in tomorrow for 2018’s Jayden Gardner of Heritage HS and Jack Hemphill of Ravenscroft School.
