Recruiting Round-Up
PrepHoopNC’s Recruiting Rundown
Yesterday evening 2018 guard Kody Shubert made the pledge to Dustin Kerns and Presbyterian College. The Team Charlotte and Lincoln Charter guard helped lead his team to a state championship this past season and helped Team Charlotte to another great run on the Under Armour circuit.
Jack Hemphill, a 6-foot-9 forward with Ravenscroft School will take a visit to Wisconsin at the end of the month. Yesterday, St. Joe’s University’s Phil Martelli was in to watch him workout and offered him a scholarship. He is becoming a priority for mid-major/high major programs with his size and skill.
Kings Mountain High School senior Adrien Delph will make an announcement today or tomorrow for his future basketball plans. He is said to be down to Appalachian State and Radford. People close to the situation think he will stay close to home for his college destination and attend App State. Assistant coach Jason Allison has done a great job recruiting Delph and is from the Lincolnton area. Delph is a skilled guard with good size that should be able to compete from Day 1 in Boone. Radford is also in the mix for Delph and had the head coach in to see him on Monday at the school. Delph committed to App State this afternoon.
Maryland was in yesterday to take a look at the top 2019 recruit in the state, Wendell Moore. The 6-foot-5 Moore is the second youngest player to receive an offer from The University of North Carolina. He is a reigning state player of the year for North Carolina.
