PrepHoops Top 250 Notes Part III (Free)
Here is the third installment of the some of the top players we saw at The PrepHoopsTop 250 at Cox Mill High School. There were over 110 players at the event.
Really liked 2020 guard JaJuan Carr of Trask High School. He is a tough, physical guards that gets after it. Made some tough shots, knows the game and is a scorer. He averaged nearly 12 points this past season as a freshman at Track High School and was named to the All-Conference team. He can finish at the rim with some strong dunks in transition and just has a knack for finding scoring opportunities.
6’2 2020 Perez Bowser of Arborbrook High School was impressive. Young guard is athletic, strong, and a good finisher in the traffic. Skilled with ball in his hands. He understands the game and has a nice flow to his game.
Carolina Day At PrepHoops Top 250
Navante Johnson has grown 2-3 inches since I last saw him. Quick hands, gets into the passing lanes and is a strong defender. He has been working on his jumper and is starting to knock it down consistently.
2019 guard Devin Elliott has transformed his game and is much stronger. Making plays and moving without the ball. Showed nice scoring tools throughout the day.
2019 wing/guard D’Angelo Elliott has a college ready body, physical guard with a soft touch around the basket. Elliott showed the ability to be a really strong defensive player.
More WNC Standouts from Prep Hoops Top 250
2018 Zion Walker of Asheville High School is a scorer. Has a variety of ways to get it done. He is athletic and has urgency to his game.
6’1, 2020 guard Troy Clement of Asheville High School is a defensive hound. Thought he shot the ball well, didn’t make many mistakes during the games. One to track.
Lake McIntosh of Enka High School, shot the ball well all day. Understands the game and has got better each time I see him. Started out making 3 straight 3’s and spent the day knocking down jumper after jumper.
