PrepHoops Top 250 Notes Part II (Free)
The PrepHoops Top 250 at Cox Mill High School was another great event put on by PrepHoops. Here is the second installment of some of the top players at the event.
2019 guard Raquan Brown is a man and plays physical every play. He is as tough of a player as you will find. He recently transferred from Rocky River High School to Butler High School and will be a key piece in their run to a state championship this season. He is able to score off the dribble and bullies smaller players into the paint where he can score with ease. He can knock down shots out to the three-point line and is a strong rebounder. Brown should be recruited at the mid-major level at this point. He has offers from Charlotte and Hampton.
Raquan Brown2019 guard Jake Smith is one of the most improved players in the state from this time last season. He transformed his game and it is starting to pay off. He has gotten stronger, worked on his athleticism, shot is falling at a high rate now and is able to beat players off the dribble. He is always in control of his game and knows where to be on the floor. He is skilled at coming off screens and moving without the ball to find ways to score. His passion for the game is un-matched.
2020 PG Justin Wright is a player I was excited to see and had been hearing a lot about from Charles Clark and Tony Bruton. Wright is a smooth point guard that is unassuming. He is crafty with the ball in his hands and is shifty with his dribble. He is really good at creating space and then can knock down the jumper with ease. He is good in transition and can finish in traffic.
2020 PG Kris Robinson is going to be one to track. Quick, has the ability to beat defense off the dribble, knows his role as PG. He started this past season for Lincolnton High School and averaged in double-figures. He can get to the rim and finish and is really good in transition where he can speed past defenders and finish or make the right pass for easy baskets.
