Prephoops 250 Expo : Sleeper Prospects
The final recap of the 250 Expo features three particular players, these players are what would call stock-risers and they would also be players that we would call sleeper prospects. None of these young men came into the event at the top of any ranking but they definitely outplayed some of the names that were ahead of them and will see a rise in their stock.
Lincolnton High School Guard Kris Robinson (6’0″2020) – If you didn’t know his name before camp started, you definitely would know his name by the time the day was over. He scored the ball on just about everybody that attempted to guard him, he can handle the ball well and although his frame looks slender he can finish through contact very well. He matched up with another 2020 player who is in the top 20 and clearly showed that he is very much deserving of being in the mix.
Butler HS Forward Isaiah Richards (Class of 2019) – Originally from NY the new transfer is slowly but surely becoming more comfortable in NC and his finding his way on the court as well. He already has college forward prospect height at 6’9 and has some muscle on his frame but is still raw skillset wise, if he continues to work hard he could develop into a very nice player. Coaches at the D1 level should keep an eye on him.
Crest High School Guard Jason Wray (6″2 2019)- If you have been around the high school basketball world in NC for anytime then his name will ring a bell for you, he has an older brother who was an All-State player so hoops definitely is in his blood. Throughout the day at camp, he showed that he has a chance to be a very special player of his own, displaying the skills that colleges will take notice of without a doubt.
