NC Dynamic Duo’s: Part 4
Greene Central 2018 Guard DonQuez Davis & 2019 Forward Imajae Dodd: At 6’7 with a body that looks much mature than his age, and many other attributes that already has HM schools attention, Imajae is a player that you will notice immediately. However a key piece of what makes the Greene Central offense go is guard DonQuez Davis who did an efficient job of making sure his teammates got the ball in the right spots. He’s a pretty quick guard that does a solid job of spreading the ball around and keeping the defense on its heels, when watching these two play together, you can fully expect a nice amount of lobs and natural chemistry on the court.
Northside HS 2018 Guards Kenny Dye & Gabe Kirkendoll: 30-0 was the record for Northside HS last season, let that sink in for a moment, the squad did not lose one single game throughout the entire season. Zach Hobbs was a huge part of the offense and he is a key player that will be missed but the Monarchs have quite a bit of talent returning to compete in 3A next. Kenny and Gabe will be the backcourt that Coach Marshburn will look to lead the team, Kenny is a PG that plays the game the right way. He has an IQ for the game and can get to his spots when he wants, while Gabe is a player that is more of a scorer and is a difficult player to guard when he’s got it going.
Clinton HS 2018 Guard Kris Williams and Forward Dewan Lesane: With the departure of Jeremiah Pope to Fayetteville State University, the Clinton HS squad will look to these young men lead the way for them in the scoring column. Kris is a guard with nice ball handling skills and does a good job of keeping his turnovers low, he also is a knock down shooter that defenses have to make sure they try to keep in check before he gets hot. Dewan is somewhat of an undersized forward, but he makes up for it with his motor and athleticism, he is a slashing type player and plays strong.
