NC Dynamic Duo’s: Part 3
Lumberton HS 2018 Guard Stephon Lloyd & 2020 Guard Jordan McNeill: College coaches at the D2 and D1 level should pay very close attention to these guards from Lumberton HS. Stephon is a true PG that has only gotten better since he suited up for Raid Nation this spring and summer on the PowerAde Circuit. He has all the tools to be a very good PG on the next level and will show that throughout the next season with his backcourt running mate Jordan McNeill. Jordan spent some time this summer and spring playing the PG spot for WBC Elite as well as playing off the ball at the SG which he plays at Lumberton. Jordan can shoot the ball well and can defend both guard positions he rebounds the ball at a very high rate for a guard and plays the game with a chip on his shoulder.
Overhills HS 2018 Guard Latrell Lloyd & 2019 Guard Zavian McLean: Overhills had a pretty successful season last year, their leading scorer was Josh Richmond who averaged 22 PPG. With the loss of Richmond due to graduation the Jaguars will look to these two young men to provide a lot of the scoring for next season. Lloyd is a high flyer who also excels on the football field, he has the ball in his hands quite a bit for the team and does a solid job of getting the ball to his teammates in the right spots. McLean showed flashes of good he can be last season and continued his play with Team Wall over the summer time. The lefty can score the ball well, and has the potential to be a very good player and prospect if he continues to work.
Heritage HS 2018 F Jayden Gardner & Guard Jarren McAllister: The Heritage HS squad had a tremendous season last year finishing with a record of 28-2. Although they will lose some of the pieces from last year’s team, they return to two players that have special talent. Both of these young men have had their fair share of success on the court and with recruitment. McAllister averaged 13 PPG last season, he’s an impressive athlete, and he’s quick and brings a good amount of effort on defense. Gardner is a top unsigned recruit in the state and has a grocery list full of scholarship offers, he averaged 18 & 10 last year and brings a high amount of energy every time he plays.
