Nate Hinton Talks Visits
Nate Hinton had one of the best spring/summer evaluation periods that any player could have. Coming into April, Hinton had some mid-major offers from some quality schools. After the July live period, Hinton had offers from the likes of Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Clemson and Indiana. Hinton helped lead Team Loaded NC to the finals of the Adidas Gauntlet Finale in Spartanburg, South Carolina scoring the ball at will. The only knock to his game prior to this summer was his shooting and he proved everyone wrong.
Hinton recently took a visit to Houston, where Kellen Sampson has been recruiting him since almost day one. Sampson and Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, his father have close ties to North Carolina. Where they both are from and coached for stints. Hinton loved the campus and the way that Houston plans on using him in the offense.
Cincinnati and Florida State will also get official visits from Hinton. The 6-6 shooting guard will visit The Bearcats next weekend. “The culture of their program is toughness and winning,” he added. “That’s what I’m all about. I’m super competitive, maybe one of the top in the country at it, and that’s what they stress so that’s what made them attractive. I’m looking forward to seeing it in person,” he told Evan Daniels of Scout.com
Florida State has ties to Gastonia, North Carolina where Hinton plays for Gaston Day School. Leonard Hamilton is from the area. Hinton will visit Tallahassee on September 16th.
Boston College offered Hinton today and he has been hearing from Oklahoma State, Maryland, Seton Hall and Clemson as of late. Michigan has also started to put on the pressure and he will consider using one of his official visits to Ann Arbor.
Hinton teams up with College of Charleston commit Quan McCluney and another 2018 guard MJ Armstrong to form a tough trio at Gaston Day.
