Intro: Collin Dietz (2019)
Class of 2019 small forward Collin Dietz is a tough wing that is transferring to Metamora next season after spending his first two seasons playing at Washington High School. He doesn’t necessarily do one thing great, but rather is solid across the board. The small forward brings toughness and grit to the table along with mid-range shooting. Solid overall skill set for this wing. Rebounds well in traffic and fills the lane in transition.
How was his summer with the Illinois Irish?
“It is great. I love playing for the Irish. It is really fun to play for all these guys. We play well together and share the ball. We win and that is a lot of fun.”
What are the best parts of his game?
“By far I am going to work as hard as I can on the floor. I am going to give it my all 100%. I like to go for rebounds and get rebounds in traffic for points.”
He transferred to Metamora this offseason.
“It was really good. It was a good experience. One of our Irish coaches is there and he does a good job coaching me and making me better.”
A couple colleges have shown initial interest in him.
“I have gotten text messages from SIU-Edwardsville and Stetson.”
