Greenfield graduated two seniors off last year’s NCISAA Final Four team. Greenfield split with Trinity Christian last year but lost to the Crusaders in the semifinals. We are very excited about this year’s team. Greenfield returns one of the best backcourts in the country in UNC commit, Coby White and Georgia Southern commit, Elijah Mccadden. Greenfield also returns starters sophomore guard, Dji Bailey and sophomore wing Trey Pittman. Dji and Trey can shoot the basketball and I am expecting big years out of both of them this year. Greenfield also has a few newcomers that will be impact players for the Knights. Jacari Outlaw, 6’3 wing, has a very bright future. He can flat shoot the basketball and can really defend. He has made an impact for the Knights since day one. The other two newcomers bring some size to the Knights. Jahmi Foster, 6’7 sophomore and Oliver Andreasen, 6’8 junior will hopefully bring energy and help on the glass for the Knights.
Offense should not be a problem for the Knights. Coby White, could break the NC record for most points in his career, will lead the Knights. The NC Gatorade Player of the Year averaged 31.4 ppg last year. The other All-state player for the Knights is Elijah Mccadden. He averaged 19.2 ppg for the Knights. The Knights will be more experienced and deeper off the bench this year than years in the past. If the Knights improve defensively and on the glass, they could have a very good year.
