Freedom Christian Open Gym/Season Preview
On Wednesday afternoon we stopped in to Freedom Christian Academy to check out the newest addition of the FCA Patriots. Murray State and Elon University were both in the building to see the talent and they left the gym just as impressed as I was with the player they saw.
2019 Guard Jamahri Harvey: He has a long wingspan to go along with his 6’4 height and a very smooth overall game with a gift for scoring the ball. One play in particular that really was impressive was a baseline dunk over a 6’8 teammate.
2019 Guard Brandon Murray: Murray shot the ball well throughout the day off the dribble and off the catch, he’s a very nice pickup for the Patriots as he can spread the floor and competed hard throughout.
2018 Forward Milos Stajcic: One of the strongest players on the floor without a doubt, Milos is the typical euro style player. He can shoot the deep ball and will be dangerous in pick and roll situations, D1’s have taken interest and he already holds an offer from Campbell.
2020 Guard Jamel Carter: Carter plays the game at his own speed and has a nice IQ for the game, he can shoot the deep ball and knows how to run a squad in the half court.
2020 Guard Manrique Alvarado: He’s a shifty guard with a quick handle and nice court vision, the more he plays the better he will be as a prospect.
2019 Forward Jayden Kirkland: The amount that this young man has improved is very impressive, he matched up with his teammate that was bigger than he is but held his own throughout, looks comfortable in the post.
2019 Wing Tre Bell: A long and lanky player that continues to improve, has nice athleticism and scored the ball in multiple ways can be a nice role player for the squad when he’s locked in.
