Blue Chip Basketball Academy Fall League has begun!
The Blue Chip Basketball Academy Fall League is back for another season, and word on the street is that if week one is any indication the league should be entertaining as well as a nice amount of talent throughout the team. Personally I’ve had the experience of being in attendance for the Fall League before during the Semi-Final and Championship games and it was a great time on and off the court. There was a high amount of talent and teams got the opportunity to play in a structure environment even though their high school coaches are not allowed to coach.
In the 2016 Fall League, the varsity champs were the Eastern Guildford Wildcats while the JV Championship would be taken home by Team Defend. Players like Tripp Greene, Akia Pruitt, Clay Mounce and many other plays who were under the radar at some point and are now D1 prospects or playing at the college level. A huge shout out must be given to Kishon Bishop as he has labored once again to put together a special league and giving the kids an opportunity to play.
What is the purpose of Fall League?
The League is for players who want to play in a competitive basketball league prior to the season, to play against other legit players, perfect their craft, stay in shape and to gain experience and exposure. Some of the top players from the Winston-Salem area have participated in the league and this year will be no different so fans should definitely stop in.
When and where is the League?
League games began already on September 9, and the league will last all the way through October 28th with Playoffs being included once again this season. The location is at Calvary Day School and the admission fee is only $5 which is a very good price for the amount of talent that you get the chance to see.
