Big Weekend for NC State
Big Visits for NC State
NC State and new head coach Kevin Keatts have been busy this off-season where they have solidified a roster for the upcoming season by grabbing transfers.
This weekend they will be trying to solidify the roster for next few years with some official and unofficial visits to the Raleigh campus.
Sharife CooperBig man Immanuel Bates of Northwood Temple in Fayetteville takes his official visit to NC State starting today. Bates is a long with a 7’2 wingspan, he corrals rebounds and can block shots, has good footwork in the post and can score on the low block. He has trimmed his list to seven schools, Louisville, DePaul, Georgetown, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Xavier and NC State.
The other big man, Keldon Johnson is the highest ranked player taking a visit to any school this weekend.
NC State will also get an unofficial visit from Kinston HS 2021 forward Dontrez Styles and one of the most promising 2020 point guards in the southeast with Sharife Cooper who plays out of McEachern High School in Georgia. Cooper plays with maturity and composure that you don’t see for a kid about to start his sophomore year of high school. He recently picked up a offer from Clemson University after his play in July. He also holds offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, NC State and Georgia Tech among others.
