250 Expo Notes: Class of 2019 Standouts
Some of the Class of 2019 standouts that were in attendance at the NC 250 Expo
Avery High School Guard Chase Kirkpatrick (6’2″ 2019) – Shot the ball well throughout the day, especially from three point land. He has a pretty solid frame and decent height for a player at the guard spot, competed well with whoever he was matched up with.
Panther Creek High School Jake Bertolini-Felice (6’4″ 2019) – Jake took an approach to camp that many campers simply don’t do very often, and that was too turn down his own shots to create for others. He is an above average passer that understands how to turn down good shots for great shots and displayed tremendous court vision.
Butler High School Guard Raquan Brown (6’4″2019)- Raquan is what we would describe as a downhill guard, meaning the speed and strength he attacks with makes it seem like he has a n extra amount of momentum when he’s attacking the defense. He had an impressive day throughout, scoring the ball and showing his IQ, an overall nice looking prospect who should get a nice amount of offers before it’s all said and done.
Independence High School Wing Miles Pauldin (6’4″ 2019)- Hands down he had one of the highest motors of any player that came to camp, he was constantly active on defense getting into passing lanes and breaking up plays. Offensively he crashed the offense boards at a very high rate and just brought a level of enthusiasm for his squad that was refreshing.
Cox Mill High School Guard Malcolm Morgan (6’1″ 2019) – He does what you want a guard to do and that’s break down the defense fairly easily. He doesn’t over dribble and makes good decisions once he gets into the gaps of the defense, solid overall performance. Did a good job of staying low on defense and containing his man as much as possible, has decent lateral quickness.
