250 Expo: Class of 2021 & 2022 Standouts
The young guys that were in the building for the 250 Expo showed a lot of promise and potential, although they are young , they played well and showed that they will be players to keep an eye on.
New Life Christian Guard Pharell Davis (Class of 2021) – He’s young and full of potential, he is still finding his way on the court as he is playing with older players. However he showed flashes of how good he can be in certain moments, he can defend well using his wingspan and moves well without the ball.
Aaron Potter Winston Salem Christian School (5’10” 2021)- He doesn’t pass the eye test but he had quite a few moments where he showed his potential of how good of a player he can be. He’s young and has plenty of time to develop his game and his body, but already has good ball handling and can shoot the ball from deep.
East Garner Middle class Asa White (6’6″ 2022) – One of the youngest players at the event but also one of the most intriguing. It was impressive to see a player at such a young age that already has the tools that he has to be an efficient player in the post. He blocks shots at a high rate, grabs rebounds and communicates well on the defensive end. On the offensive end of the floor, he looked comfortable with his back to the basket as well as facing up in the post, also did a good job of running the floor and making himself available to the guards.
Pender HS Guard Khalil Marshall (Class of 2021)- Khalil has the potential to be a very special player in the 2021 class, he was one of the top shooters at the camp and started the day knocking down about 5 treys in the first game he play, he still learning and still finding his way but the potential is clear.
