Recruiting Report: Hunter Tyson (2018)
Hunter Tyson, a class of 2018 wing from Monroe, North Carolina, was a very important player for Team CP3 at the Ei8ht in Vegas. At 6’7+, there isn’t much he can’t do while on the court.
“I’m a very versatile player with good range on my shot who can put it on the floor,” Tyson said of his overall game. “I try and cut hard, and set good screens.”
Team CP3 has a very talented guard corps, and Tyson fits in nicely as he doesn’t really need the ball to be effective. One thing we noticed about him is that he is a strong defender, and is very active on both ends of the floor.
” I think my defense is the most underrated aspect of my game,” Tyson stated. “I’m always trying to continue to tighten up my handle.”
Tyson, who is being actively recruited by several schools, says Michigan, Tennessee, and Clemson are recruiting him the hardest. Tyson says he carries an astounding 4.7 GPA at Piedmont High School. This is evidence that he works as hard as he does on the court in the classroom. What will Tyson bring to a college program?
“I can bring a winning attitude with a great work ethic that’s willing to do whatever is asked of me.”
