Recruiting Report: Elijah McCadden (2018)
Elijah McCadden, a class of 2018 guard at Greenfield School, is coming off a very strong July Live Period with Team CP3. The rising senior was a standout at The Ei8ht in Vegas, and should carry that momentum with him into his senior season.
“I’m a combo guard with an all around game, and a very good defender,” said McCadden, who was also a standout at the Oladipo Skills Academy last month. “I think I pass the ball really well, and I always compete on defense.”
McCadden played an integral role for Team CP3 in their convincing win over Team Melo in the first round at the Ei8ht. One thing we like about McCadden is that he understands his weaknesses, and works to improve them. In recent weeks, he’s showcased increased confidence and consistency in his perimeter shot.
“I’ve improved my jump shot the most in the past year. Now I work on getting it off quicker,” McCadden explained. “Now I want to tighten my handle and keep improving my shooting.”
James Madison, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, and Towson are recruiting McCadden the hardest at this point. Arkansas, Purdue, Rhode Island, and UNCW are among those reportedly expressing interest as well.
“I keep all A’s and B’s in school. My GPA is a 3.8,” McCadden stated.
What can a college program expect from McCadden at the next level?
“I would bring a hard worker who wants to get better and win to whatever program I go to.”
