CP3 Rising Stars Camp Recap: Clippers vs. Warriors
Clippers Forward/Center Charles Bediako: A very nice looking prospect, he’s a legit 6’10 that has nice potential and will be one to keep an eye on. He has good hands and does a good job of keeping the ball high when he’s finishing as well as keeping it high on the rebound to give it to guard with the outlet pass. Also does a good job of not leaving his feet before the offensive player when attempting to block shots.
Clippers Guard Quadir Pettaway: Does a good job of leading a squad when on the floor as a true Point Guard should, he keeps his head up and is constantly looking for the correct/pass to make. He has very good ball handling skills which keeps defenders on its heels.
Warriors Guard Jaden Clayton: A nice looking guard prospect who showed the ability to get in the paint and a high rate, however he didn’t look to score all the time. Instead he got into the gaps of the defense and made the correct plays to get teammates the ball in the right spots.
Warriors Forward/Center Adam Walden: At 6’8 and 235 pounds he’s a big body but he also has a nice skillset, he can play with his back to the basket as well as facing up and scoring. He has nice mechanics on his shot and you can see the potential in him to be a pick and pop forward.
Clippers Guard Donerio Davenport: If there was an award for the best hairstyle at camp then he had to be in the running. However once he stepped on the floor you could see that he was more than just a cool looking player. He has the ability to score the ball and is a shifty ball handler, the first time he touched the ball he hit a defender with a nice move followed by a bucket.
