Cincinnati Stock Risers: 16U
After looking at the fast-risers from the class of 2018/17U, it is now time to look at the class of 2019/16U. This is class is starting to take shape and showing the deepness that it has. While the names on this list maybe familiar to some, this summer saw this these gentlemen see a huge leap in their recruitment. This is a class that you will hear a lot from over the next couple of years.
Miles McBride 6’1 G/Cincinnati Lakers-Archbishop Moeller
What a summer it was for the Moeller junior who cemented himself as one of the best two-way players in the city. McBride so far this summer has been offered by Duquesne University (PA), Marist (NY) and University of Toledo and a host of other D-I programs. Equipped with one of the better mid-range games in the state, expect many high major D-I offers to start to roll in. Did I also mention is the starting QB for the Crusader football team. One of the of the most storied programs in the country. Kid can do it all.
Alec Pfriem 6’4 G-W/Ohio Basketball Club-Archbishop Moeller
A teammate of McBride, Pfreim is another very good two-way player. The Moeller junior excels at scoring at all three levels on the court and is very good at finishing with both hands around the rim. In addition to his offensive game Alec is also very good on the defensive end as a team defender. This high IQ wing/forward received an offer from Western Carolina back in June and according to an April interview with our Anthony Garcia has interest from Duquesne, Xavier and Northern Kentucky amongst other schools.
Greg Tribble Jr. 6’0 PG/Cincinnati Lakers-Winton Woods High School
Featured earlier this month on Prep Hoops, Tribble has had an outstanding summer. His combination of strength, athleticism and length makes him a problem for opposing guards both offensively and defensively. You combine those attributes with a very good mid-range game and it is easy to see why the D-I offers are starting to roll in. Morehead State (KY), Stony Brook (NY) and Toledo (OH) are just some of the schools to offer this rising junior.
