Big Shots : Myrtle Beach 4 – Recap
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some loose ends from Big Shots – Myrtle Beach 4 that ended this past weekend on the Grand Strand. The Grassroots AAU season is over now and school is close to starting in different parts of the country in the weeks to come.
High Point Havoc put it together capture the Big Shots – Myrtle Beach 4 Championship with a 80-71 win over the North Carolina Spartans East 80-71. Jordan Roberson (2018) led the way with 33 points while hitting 7 three pointers. Jeremy Butler (2018) added 17 points and Cameron Whiteside (2018) chipped in 13 points.
Roberson will play this coming season at High Point Christian after playing at East Forsyth HS. Roberson has really solid academics in the classroom. Roberson 6’3 shooting guard averaged 17.8 ppg for the event.
Ben Uloko (2018) led the North Carolina Spartans East with 21 points. Uloko 6’7 attends West Forsyth HS with teammate Maverick LaRue. Larue (2018) scored 12 points in the championship game.
Flight 22 Elite had a solid showing this summer with John Michael Wright, Kenny Dye, Ricky Council III, Ricky Council IV and Rob Peterson. Flight 22 Elite is coached by Nathan Faulk.
Team TTG finished the Big Shots – Myrtle Beach 4 event at 4-0. Team TTG based out of Rocky Mount, VA played with just 6 players all weekend long.
Team TTG was led by Nicholas Turner (2018) 6’6. Turner played at Franklin County HS (Rocky Mount) but is looking to transfer this season according to his father Samuel Turner who coaches Team TTG.
Turner plays inside the paint and really works the blocks very well. Turner a very average athlete has good footwork and will draw contact.
Chandler Taylor (2018) 5’9 left-handed point guard is quick end to end on the floor. Taylor got into the gaps at will today with his speed to the basket. Taylor will return to Franklin County HS this coming fall.
