2018 Top Unsigned Seniors
A look at the top five unsigned seniors in the 2018 class for the state of North Carolina.
Devon Dotson 6’2 PG Providence Day-Dotson is scheduled for a visit to Kansas this weekend, he officially visited Arizona a couple of weeks ago. The Wildcats picked up a commitment from Jahvon Quinnerly, so that all but rules Arizona out. A late push from Florida may turn out to be a big piece of the puzzle since Mike White and staff have been recruiting Dotson since day one. North Carolina has yet to offer Dotson but may. Another point to think about with Kansas is, this is an Adidas school and Dotson teamed up with Zion Williamson in Las Vegas at Adidas. A lot of interesting pieces to this Dotson puzzle.
Jairus Hamilton 6’7 SF Cannon School-Long wingspan at nearly 6’10”, long arms, quick off the floor and can move laterally very fast. Has a college ready body. Posseses a strong handle for his size and is a above average rebounder. Recently picked up a offer from Florida State. Has “blue blood” offers from North Carolina and Duke. One of the top unsigned seniors nationally.
Nate Hinton 6’5 CG Gaston Day-As athletic as a player as you will find. He can score in a variety of ways and brings a level of high-energy to the game. He has a great motor that goes and goes. His spring/summer catapulted him into the national rankings and piled up some high major offers. He has taken one official visit, to Houston almost two weeks ago. His offers now include Georgetown, Tennessee, Florida State, Seton Hall, Minnesota, Illinois, Oklahoma State, Clemson, Miami, Saint Louis, Maryland, Auburn, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, UMass, VCU, Wichita State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Indiana, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Temple, Rhode Island, South Florida, Winthrop, Creighton, App State, Old Dominion, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, College of Charleston, Middle Tennessee, Tulane, Houston and Tulsa.
Will Dillard 6’2 SF Greensboro Day-One of the most athletic players in the state, can jump out of the gym. Can knock down the mid-range shots and can step out behind the three-point line. A strong defender who has a bloodline of playing college basketball. Has offers from Wake Forest, UNC-Greensboro, Boston, Charlotte, and App State.
Jaylan Hoard 6’7 W Team CP3/Wesleyan Christian-Good frame and build for the wing spot, has a quick first-step and can get off of the floor in a hurry. Can score off the dribble or knock down the set shot. Has offers from Wake Forest, Kansas, Oklahoma State, NC State, USC, California, Drexel and Washington. Right now Wake Forest seems to be in the lead for the talented wing.
