Upward Stars adds two 2019 Studs
As we prepare for the July live period we see a few players that will be suiting up for different teams for various reasons, one team that will benefit highly is The Upward Stars squad in SC. The squad already featured Freedom Christian 6’4 Guard Jamahri Harvey who has already picked up Low Major offers and MM interest but also Trinity Christin 6’2 Guard Talton Jones who doesn’t have offers yet but plenty of D1 interest. Just last week Upward Stars added 2019 F/C Emmanuel Izunabor and 2019 F William Oneyodi both who attend school in Fayetteville, NC.
What do they bring to the table?
Let’s begin with Emmanuel, at 6’9 with a nice frame, you can tell he spends his fair amount of time in the weight room and puts in time with his game overall. He’s only been playing the game for a few years but the amount of improvement he has shown in that short span of time has truly been impressive. He doesn’t try to do anything that he’s not comfortable with and is productive inside the paint on both sides of the floor. Offensively he finished under and above the rim inside the paint and is perfecting an elbow range jumper, on defense he blocks shots and rebounds at a very high rate. One of the more impressive things about this young man is how great of a kid he is off the court, he’s very respectful and always cheerful.
Last but not least let’s talk about William, he is a player that is often overlooked by many but is a very talented player in his own right. He’s about 6’5-6’6 with a strong body and knows how to get to the basket with minimal dribbling. His position as of now is a question mark but he is a player that brings energy, intensity and is skilled in his own right. One attribute that you have to love about him his upper body strength, he plays through contact well and uses his strength to battle against bigs.
