Trinity Christian adds two more 2019 Standouts
Earlier this year we were informed that star Trinity Christian Guard Josh Nickelberry would be headed to Oak Hill Academy for the remainder of his high school career. Of course many people wondered how Trinity would recover after losing such a valuable piece to their offensive machine. Well since then the Crusaders have added 2019 Guard Audiese Toney who is picking up MM+ interest and offers and just today the Crusaders picked up two more talented 2019 players. Wing Raekwon Knuckles and Forward Deumbre Ginyard both who have been handling their business during the spring and summer time with The Fayetteville Magic and with Fayetteville Elite.
What do they bring to the program?
Deumbre Ginyard is a high motor player that plays much bigger than his 6’3 height would suggest, he battles with bigs and doesn’t back down from any challenge. He has a lean frame but a toughness that is of a football player, he has solid speed and athletic ability and continues to get better each time I see him. On defense is where he really makes his mark, he can guard multiple positions very well using his speed and strength to defend inside and on the perimeter. It doesn’t matter what type of game it is, you can know for a fact that he’s going to bring his ‘‘A’’ game and high level of energy.
Raekwon Knuckles is a player that reminds me a lot of former Northwood Temple Wing John Maynor who just finished up his freshman year at Elizabeth City State University and took home All-CIAA Rookie team honors. He doesn’t over dribble to get the job done but instead uses jabs and fakes to get to his spots and complete plays. One of the best attributes about him is his toughness, he gets into the paint like a running back and doesn’t allow contact to bother him at all. Only time will tell how special he can be but he has all the tools to be one that makes a very nice impact at the right college program.
