Success Unlimited National Warmup: Day 2
Raid Nation 2019 Guard Devontae Gathers: He’s another youngster that has the athleticism that will impress you, just about each game he made some type of play above the rim on the offensive or defensive side of the ball. What impressed me most however was not the dunks but how well he rebounded the ball against taller players. His team was undersized at the forward spot but he more than made up for it with how well he rebounded the ball.
Team JP 2019 Forward Keyon Burrell: Decent size for a player at the wing spot, he can score the ball well in multiple ways. His jumper is getting better slowly but surely and he’s improving with his ball handling skills to the point where he could eventually spend legit time at the guard spot.
Team Supreme 2019 Guard Teandre Walton: He is what we would define as a defensive specialist, he moves his feet well and uses his physical frame to throw opponents off track. Coming from Westover HS, we weren’t surprised to see that he took such a huge amount of pride in defense.
Fayetteville Spurs 2019 Guard Chris Jordan: Jordan had it going from all over the floor when they had one of their premier matchups of the event. He knows how to keep defenders guessing, can knock down shots from midrange and finish in the paint.
Team Supreme 2019 Thomas Hendricks: Did a very good job of facilitating and getting the entire team involved, he doesn’t get rattled at all, no matter what type of pressure he faces he treats every game like it’s another day at the office.
Fayetteville Magic 2019 Miles Ray: This lefty has a smooth game and can score at a very high rate, he gets off the floor quickly for dunks and is a versatile player. He’s a big time pickup for Freedom Christian to play alongside of star guard Jamahri Harvey.
