Sleeper Prospect Report: Jordan Love
Many times we hear the term ‘‘ Slept on or sleeper prospect”, any many times it’s used on properly with players who have quite a few offers but they don’t have the big time offers that many people feel they should have. However with this current player, he definitely a player that truly is a sleeper recruitment wise and his stock will only continue to rise as he played at a stellar level during the high school and AAU season.
Jordan Love is a 6’5 Guard who plays for the Durham Hurricanes , a team that doesn’t play on a sneaker circuit but has alums from the program such as Carter Collins who is currently playing for Davidson College. He can score the ball on multiple level with ease, he gets into the paint well and finishes above the rim and in traffic with his long wingspan. He has a nice midrange jumper that he knocks down consistently and he is very efficient from three point land, which is another attribute that make him even more difficult to defend. The next in his development will be to add to his frame, which will happen once he gets to the college level, he may not put on a ton of muscle mass but could add some lean muscle to absorb contact.
His recruitment to this point has been somewhat of a mystery to me, a player of his height and skillset should clearly be a guy that Low Major D1 and high D2 programs should be offering at a much higher rate than they have been. So far he’s received offers from D1 school Coppin State and a D2 offer from Chowan University a CIAA program that on the rise. He’s picked up interest from quite a few schools on the D1 and D2 level but the interest should already be offers at this point, look for Jordan to continue to rack up the offers over the next few months.
